Located in the Rockridge neighborhood near the northern border of West Oakland, Anthony Chabot Elementary is situated right along CA-24 and the Pittsburg/Bay Point BART line, and is also directly adjacent to the Chabot Recreation Center. The surrounding neighborhood is generally residential aside from College Avenue and Claremont Avenue to the south and west, which form the heavily commercial Rockridge shopping district and carry traffic through to Berkeley.
