The Far West site is located at the intersection of Broadway & Broadway Terrace in the West Oakland foothills. The school program incorporates the Arts into its main curriculum, and has the benefit of being situated next to California College of the Arts' east bay campus. Far West is also adjacent to the Claremont Country Club, and is a block away from the beginning of College Avenue, which leads into the Rockridge Shopping district and BART station on its path towards Berkeley. Public transportation is available along Broadway and on College Avenue.
